The End of This Art Journey -3 March 2019

With considerable thought over the weekend, I have decided to end my art journey here in Florence.  It has been one of the most exciting, demanding and rewarding experiences of my  lifetime. I will have to abort part of my  class this week and then I will be headed back to Hawaii on Thursday.  I am excited to get into my home studio….after a long rest and some time on the beach…and put into practice all the skills and techniques that I learned here at the Academia Del Giglio.  I will forever be grateful to my  art instructor, Appollon Avagyan.  Appollon is actually Greek and moved here when he was only 15 to study at one of the most prestigious academies here in Florence.  He studied for 11 years before he started teaching several years ago.  I am so fortunate  that I landed in his hands.

Could the south of France be  my next art journey?  I have always wanted to paint in Provence in the Fall!

For NOW, I just want to sink my toes in the sand on my beach! Aloha
